Legion TV, London, October 2014 (part of Art Licks Weekend)
A printing workshop party in which participants were invited to select three symbols which best expressed their personal brand, from a pre-approved selection of critical theorists (Adorno, Deleuze & Guattari, Žižek), emojis (broken heart, ghost, poo) and dog breeds (pug, sausage dog, whippet), and have them printed on a canvas tote bag. See the text below for an explanation, of sorts.
People were only allowed to choose exactly three symbols, and they had to be arranged vertically. We were very strict about that.
Solo project. Support on printing from Kate Turner and Sian Murphy. Illustrations by Michael Lacey (theorists) and Kate Turner (dogs). The Nationalised Industry Bunting was a collaboration between me and Michael. Curated by Kiera Blakey at Legion TV.
